A standing discount
Verified freelance videographers and legal videographers get a code for 30% off the subscription, entered at the subscription checkout. It applies after the introductory price ends. Until then the introductory price is the lower one, and the two do not combine. No end date for the introductory price has been announced.

How to get the code
- Fill in the form below. We reply within two business days.
- Once we have checked your work, we email you your personal discount code.
- When the introductory price ends, enter it at the subscription checkout.
- Polar emails an order confirmation. Choose Access purchase to see your licence key, then download Throughline, open Settings → License and paste it.
Ask for the code
Private by default
Throughline runs on your Mac. Transcription runs on your machine and nothing is uploaded; anything that would leave the Mac needs your explicit consent. It works offline and checks its licence in every 30 days. Activation sends the licence key, the app version, the chip model and a random install id, and nothing about you or your files.
Your clients' footage never leaves your Mac.
Honest limits
- The code is for working freelancers. We check one public page that shows your paid work.
- It waits for the introductory price to end. Until then the introductory price is lower, and the two do not combine.
- Recovery covers the cameras we list. The supported cameras and formats are on the recovery pages. It is not a fix for any damaged video.
- Mac only. macOS 14 or later, Apple silicon. It needs to reach the internet once every 30 days to check its licence.
- The free trial is separate and unchanged. Anyone can start it without applying.
